Sylfirm X is a micro-needling treatment that boosts collagen synthesis in the skin by harnessing the power of radio frequency. However, it also incorporates RF energy, which can aid in stimulating collagen formation and firming the skin for an enhanced look, texture, and tone.

Sylfirm X is the latest in RP (repeated ultra-short pulse) micro-needling technology that reacts to ONLY abnormal blood vessels and tissue to selectively treat increased pigmentation and vascular lesions.

Morpheus 8 is a powerful RF microneedling device that produces remarkable results when it comes to skin tightening and rejuvenation.

However, SylFirmX is twice as powerful as Morpheus8, and treatments with this device (SylFirmX) are less painful than many others including Morpheus8, Potenza, and SecretRF.

This is because SylFirmX has smaller, thinner, uninsulated, gold-plated needles— this gives it an edge over the insulated needle tips of Morpheus 8. Additionally, the Morpheus8 device uses a stamped delivery which although very effective is much less tolerable than the gentle delivery associated with SylFirmX.

Also, due to the Na effect, SylFirmX is a better alternative for individuals with darker skin tones as there is no risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that is often present with other devices like Morpheus 8.

Although both devices deliver excellent results for skin tightening, acne scarring, and other skin concerns, Morpheus8 has been available since 2018 while SylFirmX has only been available since 2021. Because of this, SylFirmX comes with Rapid extreme pulse wave technology, a feature that the older Morpheus8 does not offer at all.

This allows SylFirmX to safely and effectively treat deeper layers of your skin without causing damage. It is the only RF microneedling device that can be used to treat delicate areas like your eyelids and tear troughs without causing any damage to the underlying tissues.

It is also the only device approved to safely treat neovascularity including hard-to-treat conditions like rosacea and melasma.

While this treatment is suitable for every skin type if you have recently used Accutane or are currently using it, have a cold sore that is active, have a skin infection, have a moderate to severe skin condition (like psoriasis), are receiving chemotherapy or radiation, have a pacemaker or defibrillator, have metal implants, are pregnant, are taking blood thinners, or have a history of keloids, hypertrophic scarring, or poor wound healing– you should avoid this treatment.

Many of my patients have little to no downtime following RF microneedling with SylFirmX. However, shortly after your treatment, you can expect some sensitivity, pinpoint bleeding, minor redness, and swelling— these side effects usually go away in a day or two.
