 WHAT IS OBEITY?
 Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of blood pressure . Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It’s a medical problem that increases the risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers.
 What to avoid when in obesity.
 Limit these foods and drinks
1 sugar sweetened beverages such as soda, social drinks, sport drinks.
2 fruit juice .no more than a small amount per day.
3 refined grains eg white bread call my white rice, white pasta and sweets.
4 potatoes. Either baked or fried.
5 red meat eg beef, pork, lamb. And processed meats like bacon, sausage, salami.
6, other highly processed foods such as fast foods, junk foods.
DIET TO TAKE WHEN IN OBESITY.
 Eat breakfast.
 Why it seems like skipping a meal is an easy way to cut calories, skipping breakfast usually backfires when hunger comes ragging mid day often leading to overeating.
 Choose a small portion and it slowly. Slowing down at meals and choosing smaller portions can help avoid overeating by giving the brain time to tell the stomach when it's hard enough food.
 NB. Will turning off the television , computer or smartphone can also help us focus on the food.
 Eating at home.
 Fast foods, restaurants meals and other foods prepared away from home tend to have larger portions and be less nutritious than the foods we cook for ourselves.
 eating mindfull.
taking time two think about why you are actually eating is an easy way to avoid needless calories.
CAUSES OF OBESITY
 Obesity is generally caused by eating too much and moving too little. If you ensure high amount of energy, particularly fat and sugars, but do not burn off the energy through exercise and physical activity, much of the surplus energy will be stored by the body as fat.
The causes of obesity.
 Obesity is one of the biggest health problems in the world what is causes?
 Genetics
 Obesity has a strong genetic component. Children or parents with obesity are much more likely to have obesity than children of lean parents.
 Engineered junk foods.
 Heavily processed foods are often little more than refined ingredients mixed with additives.
These products are designed to be cheap call mom last long on the shelf and test so incredibly good that they are hard to resist.
By making food as tasty as possible food manufacturers are trying to increase sales and don’t care about you but they also promote oovereating.
 Food addiction.
Mainly sugar sweetened, high fat junk foods stimulate the reward centres in your brain.
In fact these foods are often compared to commonly abused drugs like alcohol, cocaine, nicotine and cannabis.
Junk foods can cause addiction in subceptible individuals. These people lose control over their eating behaviour similar to people struggling with alcohol addiction losing control over their drinking behaviour.
