My major design work aimed at reducing the user journey of their "resume building" flow by 20% and conceptualized a major feature with the potential to boost business goals

Konectin, a startup company founded to empower people throughout their career journey. According to their website, they provide a range of resources, including internships, job postings, career talks, and blog posts, to help people succeed. They recently launched a new product: a user-friendly AI resume builder. With plans to develop and Ed Tech platform, ‘Study and Work’

I skipped user research due to challenges in finding suitable participants. The website has excellent user experience, leaving little room for improvement. My focus was on meticulous attention to detail to emphasize the following:

- ‘Add Skill’ section ( Resume Building flow )

- UX’ing the”resume building” journey

- The Big Fish: New Feature

The ‘change resume template’ feature, which had a primary button, was receiving excessive attention, causing confusion even for myself as a user. Therefore, I replaced it with what I determined to be the website's text button, with same label ‘Change resume template’.

The primary action here (ref to image) is to complete the task by using the download button. The primary action was initially ‘continue’ before the change to (‘Download PDF’).

Shortening and streamlining UX writing copy

The new feature enhances user engagement, boosts website traffic, and enriches the resume builder experience. This new feature may accomplish:

Enhanced Profiles: Skill assessments enrich candidate profiles with detailed skill data.

Personalized Recommendations: Tailored job suggestions based on assessment results.

Improved Resumes: Seamless integration of assessment data into resume builder tool.

Targeted Development: Identify skill gaps and offer personalized training resources

I endeavored to align my concept, layout, and overall UI/visual design with the company's standards. Despite lacking access to Konectin's UI component library, I aimed to ensure consistency by basing my components on those found on their website.

My primary focus was on improving and enhancing the user experience. However, I believe I could have achieved better results if I had access to the users of their product, allowing me to recruit participants for user interviews and testing
