Two folks can be seen strolling through a crowded street. JESSICA, one of them, is speaking loudly and visibly frustrated on the phone.
JESSICA: (on the phone) I need that report by tomorrow, regardless of the deadline. You're not aware of how crucial this is.
MARK, the second individual, follows her while displaying worry. Jessica abruptly halts her progress and hangs up the phone.
JESSICA: I'm sorry, Mark, I'm sorry. Just generally worried.
Mark comforts Jessica by placing his hand on her shoulder. Do you wish to discuss it?
JESSICA: Everyone doesn't seem to realize how much strain I'm under, and I simply feel like I'm drowning in work.
Mark says with a sympathetic nod, "I understand how you feel." Balancing everything might be challenging at times.
Jessica gives Mark a startled glance.
JESSICA: (Curiosity piqued) You do?
(Smiles) MARK No doubt. Like everyone else, I experience stress and anxiety. It accompanies being human.
Slowly nodding, Jessica appears to be getting the idea.
JESSICA: I'm sorry for being so nasty earlier. I ought not to have vented on you.
(Shrugging) It's alright, Mark. We could all use a little empathy now and then.
They exchange a smile as they proceed to walk side by side down the bustling street.
