The challenge was to transform a highly technical and slow website into a clear, trustworthy, and fast-loading experience that resonates with a developer audience.

The original Aikido website was overly technical and hard to navigate. Key features like AutoFix and real-time tracking were buried under complicated jargon. Trust signals such as SOC2 compliance and data policies were not prominent. The sign-up process was lengthy, causing user drop-offs, and the site’s mobile experience suffered from broken interactions. Heavy animations and large files made the site slow, with load times exceeding 4.5 seconds.

I redesigned the site in Webflow, focusing on clarity, speed, and user trust. Key features were restructured into easy-to-read sections with expandable “Learn More” toggles. Static images were replaced with lightweight, informative animations illustrating Aikido’s workflow, including a real-time vulnerability counter. Trust was enhanced by adding a visible security badge ribbon and client testimonials powered by Webflow CMS. The sign-up process was simplified into two quick steps with tooltips for guidance. On the technical side, SVGs replaced heavy images, lazy loading was implemented, and a reusable component library ensured design consistency.

The revamped site saw a 35% increase in developer sign-ups and a drop in load time from 4.5 seconds to 1.8 seconds. The clean, developer-friendly design received recognition in industry newsletters, showcasing the success of the project.
