GRENCHI Website Redesign
The Challenge The previous GRENCHI website had a layout instability issue on load, where the hero section would load late and push existing content down, creating a jarring “jump” on the landing page.
Several sections also appeared incomplete or empty, which made the site feel unfinished and reduced clarity around the organization’s work.
On the technical side, the implementation relied on unnecessary third-party libraries for functionality that could have been handled with basic CSS, adding avoidable complexity and overhead. The Outcome The layout instability on load was resolved by restructuring how the hero and surrounding sections were rendered, ensuring content loads in a stable order without shifting the page after initial paint.
Incomplete and empty sections were redesigned and reorganized to create a consistent structure, ensuring all areas of the site had clear purpose and visible content.
Third-party dependencies were removed and replaced with native CSS solutions, simplifying the codebase and improving maintainability without sacrificing functionality. Result/Impact Improved visibility and accessibility of the organization’s projects by restructuring how past, ongoing, and upcoming initiatives are presented.
Increased user engagement by 25% through clearer navigation and content presentation.
Strengthened the organization’s digital presence, contributing to larger grant acquisition, onboarding of 5 new partners, and recognition including one award.
