Hive Gamification

The world’s finance is becoming more decentralized with more people learning about the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrency to revolutionize how we think about money around the world.

To fully transition into a digital world, we would all need secure storage for our cryptocurrencies. This is what Hive has set out to build with their Wallet.

The first thing we (The PM, myself, and the backend developer) did was to hop on a discovery session so we could clearly understand the feature we were trying to build, and then we took a look at what we had available so we could come up with ideas within that constraints, we figured out the APIs that were ready as we wanted to build this product rapidly (it was experimental), once we were all on the same page, we collaborated in creating the flow for the product and then heading straight into the design.

After the competitive analysis and several sessions with the product manager, we decided to reward users in 3 ways. First is a Daily Wheel Spin, where they can redeem the points earned. The second is a saving pool, we reward users for saving every week. And the last one is trivia, where we reward users for their crypto knowledge.
