Stack: Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Google Workspace, Breely, Squarespace Email Campaigns
Overview
I built Brass & Briar Studio’s original Squarespace website in 2017 and expanded it when the studio moved in 2023 to accommodate more artists and new piercing services.
My work pairs day to day site management with the systems that keep a busy studio humming. I maintain the public facing site, manage the appointment booking stack, compose email newsletters, and developed the digital forms and team onboarding so the team can focus on great work and a smooth visit for their clients.
To support the move and ongoing marketing, I produced on-location photo and video coverage of the studio. This included building exteriors, interior rooms and common areas, and updated team portraits. I delivered web-ready edits, so the images could serve double duty on service pages, artist profiles, Google Business, and across social media. The refreshed visuals improved clarity for first-time visitors and strengthened local search visibility.
I also run the print on demand ecommerce side of their online store. I integrate Printify, build product pages and mockups, set pricing and policies, and automate fulfillment and emails so the studio can sell branded merch and art prints with no inventory.
Brass and Briar Studios homepage with clear messaging guiding visitors to easily find the services they need.
Comprehensive team member profiles make is easy for existing clients to easily book while also allowing for discovery by new clients.
Digital intake forms with client accounts reduce paper and keep documentation organized for regular customers, no matter who they book with.
What I do
Online presence management: Keep pages fresh with artist profiles, services, events, FAQs, aftercare, events, online store, and collecting emails. Structure content for quick scanning and clear calls to action.
Appointment and calendar administration: Configure and maintain Acuity for multi-artist schedules, service menus, buffers, and resource allocation. Set confirmations, reminders, and policy language to reduce no shows and confusion.
Client intake and consent forms: Create and refine digital intake and service-specific consent for tattoos, piercings, permanent makeup, and tooth gems. Align forms with studio policies and compliance needs. Route submissions for easy review and storage.
New team and guest artist onboarding: Set up website profiles, availability, and calendars. Standardize bios, portfolio image specs, and booking links so new talent is live fast.
Marketing and communications: Draft and deploy announcements for events, new services, and guest artists. Coordinate homepage features, light email campaigns, and booking promos.
SEO: Consistently top 1 to 2 for “tattoo portland maine” and “piercing portland maine” and related keywords, boosting foot traffic and bookings.
Photography and video: On-location photo and video of the building, studio spaces, common areas, and team portraits before and after the move, for use across the website and social media profiles.
Ecommerce management: Set up and maintain print on demand integrations for Squarespace Commerce. Build product pages and variants, upload mockups, set shipping and tax, and automate confirmations and tracking. Coordinate samples and quality checks so items match artist work and studio branding.
