PoKéMaTcH: A Minimalist Pokémon Memory Game

Earlier this year, my 5-year-old was obsessed with Pokémon and he also loved those memory card-matching games. So I thought it would be cool if I made a set of Pokémon cards, but in a style that felt more personal to me. Minimalist, subtle, textured. Recognizable figures but not exactly the cartoon, because in my mind that is not trademark infringement. 😅
I started my vision in Figma, move it over to Nanobana to help me refine it. But ChatGPT took it to the next level generating 24 unique Pokémon in that style.
And from that vision… the game was born. 🎮
🌟 PoKéMaTcH 🌟
The first ever video game that started as a figment of my imagination — and now exists.
🎨 What makes it magical:
24 custom minimalist Pokémon cards with watercolor vibes
Dynamic backgrounds that shift with the time of day ☀️ Morning light 🌅 Golden sunset 🌙 Starry night
Whimsical animations (sparkles, bouncy flips, floating magic)
Fully responsive — play on mobile, tablet, or desktop
⚡ Built with Figma Make
The only problem is… I finished it about 5 months too late. Because he doesn’t even like Pokémon anymore. 😅 But he did play it. And he liked it. Whew.
👉 How many attempts did it take you to "find 'em all"? Post your screenshot.
