Midcento | 3D Product Visualization

Task Objective I was tasked with creating a 45-second 3D animation for Midcento, a company specializing in high-end part replacements for iconic furniture pieces. Designed specifically for social media platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, the project aimed to highlight the craftsmanship, precision, and timeless design of the Eames Lounge Chair in a visually engaging and shareable format.

Approach The concept focused on the journey of disassembled components coming together to form the iconic chair, emphasizing the artistry behind each part. Using Blender, I meticulously modeled the chair’s elements to showcase the interplay of materials—wood, metal, and leather—and animated their seamless assembly.

The animation featured components levitating gracefully and converging mid-air in a symphony of movement, with lighting and textures enhancing the tactile quality of the materials. I incorporated subtle visual effects and sound design to elevate the sensory experience, ensuring each moment of connection conveyed precision and harmony.

For the final reveal, the fully assembled chair was showcased in a minimal, ambient-lit environment that accentuated its form and material details. This deliberate choice kept the focus on the iconic silhouette and the interplay of textures, creating a sophisticated and timeless visual impact.

Results The animation successfully captured the essence of Midcento’s brand while being tailored for high engagement on social media platforms. The client praised the project for its attention to detail and its ability to evoke both nostalgia and innovation, reinforcing Midcento’s reputation as a steward of timeless craftsmanship.
