Helped launch Amnesty International's new initiative, "The Longer Table", with a mission to 'build a longer table, not taller walls.' Showcases interview recording skills and camera operation on a professional film and commercial set. I was involved in heavy pre-production to talk with refugees and asylum seekers in the US before the interviews were conducted and also helped to scout locations around Oakland, California were the shoot would take place.
This project was backed by Citizen, a socially conscious ad agency based in San Francisco. Much of the work put into this video was conducted before the cameras rolled, whether that was matching and renting camera equipment, lighting and grip or compiling a 14 hour shoot schedule between four different locations on the day of filming.
The project was shot with the standards of digital media and broadcast in mind. The final video would be up to two minutes with shorter cut downs for 30 and 60 second ad spots.
