Rebuilding Mapapa Village with Solar Power

We Rebuilt A Village! 🇿🇲 A year ago, we visited Mapapa in rural Zambia to help our friend Dora Moono Nyambe and her children in “We Powered A Village”, where we built a solar array with GivePower providing much-needed electricity. For many children, this was the first time they saw light at night! However Dora still faced countless other issues, and despite these difficulties, she is doing everything she can to help these children. We were so moved by Dora and the kids we knew we had to go back! When we mentioned to Lectric eBikes that we were going back, they immediately provided us with additional funding so we could double our previous contributions by tripling Dora’s solar power capacity, conducting a hydrological study to provide a proper well, installing a state-of-the-art internet network and much more. Dora is an incredibly kind and giving person who has had a huge impact on so many lives. She reminds us that positive change can start with one person's voice and a shared commitment to a better future for others less fortunate.
