What you can achieve through braveness!
Hi guys, it’s Giada here, First Mate of the StrawHatz Crew!
You know, I’m not a very athletic kind of person; I guess you just have to look at me to notice it, right?
I’ve always looked at thrilling reels on Instagram and the Cap’s adventures at the beginning of his journey and wondered: can I do this kind of thing?
I thought not! Well, the reality proved quite different!
On Christmas, the Cap and I traveled to the northwesternmost point in Sardegna, to a beach called Stintino. There, of course, we started exploring, jumping from rock to rock.
At a certain point, the only way to go forward was to actually climb along the cliff, looking down at the sea!
The view was awesome, but I was terrified. I kept thinking: What if I fell?
Once I would have backed off, but that day, one step at a time, I got to the top without worrying if I looked clumsy and slow. I knew that without taking a risk, nothing can be achieved and that only by trying I can know what I’m actually capable of doing!
Let me be honest, though: I wouldn’t have improved so much all alone.
Only because I had with me an amazing accountability Captain that always takes care of me I could embark on the road to becoming a brave warrior of the sea!
