The Concept
A short documentary for the Attitude Project centering on graffiti artist Shine Royal as he leads a transformative mural workshop for youth navigating juvenile detention recovery and personal hardship.
The Role
Conceived, shot, and post-produced the entire short documentary solo, managing direction, cinematography, editing, and color grading.
The Vision
The film challenges conventional labels placed on troubled youth, using insights from Shine Royal and the project lead to emphasize accountability, redemption, and second chances.
Visually anchored by the step-by-step creation of a public mural, the edit uses the artwork's progression as a narrative backbone, mirroring the participants' emotional journey from initial arrival to the pride of completing a beautiful, meaningful contribution to their community.
