Preparing App Store screenshots involves repeated Simulator capture, layout work, localization, file organization, and upload steps.
My role
I created ShotKit, an open-source workflow and CLI for iOS developers working on macOS. The public repository provides the implementation and release history.
Technical approach
The pipeline connects Simulator capture through deep links, styled screenshot generation with Pillow, output validation, and App Store Connect upload. It supports multiple device sizes and locales, with environment diagnostics and an isolated dependency environment.
Delivered result
A reusable, publicly available tool that connects screenshot preparation and store upload in one workflow. Developers can install it through Homebrew or use it as an agent skill. This is an independent open-source product, not a client engagement; no adoption or time-savings metric is claimed here.
Relevance to client work
This project demonstrates developer workflow automation, integration with the Apple release ecosystem, and practical tooling that can be inspected in source.
