“Blues” Album Cover Art

For a client’s single release, I illustrated a voodoo doll sitting alone in a messy blues piano bar, creating a cinematic and melancholic atmosphere. Using a grayscale-to-color workflow, I focused on values and composition before applying a deep blue palette with a pale yellow light source to emphasize the mood. The illustration relied on perspective and detailed lighting, with the typography designed as a neon sign, blending seamlessly into the environment.

This project challenged me to refine my still-life and environmental illustration skills, working with complex lighting and object accuracy. The result went beyond the client’s expectations, delivering a moody and immersive cover that stood out on digital streaming platforms.
