This project for an English/Scottish Gaelic museum required a complete brand design and exhibition design. The branding needed to represent the main aim of the organisation - to document and encourage the Gaelic language and culture in both a historical and modern setting.
The logo plays on the motif of the Celtic knot; creating a fluid, modern shape with the intertwining braids of the historical knot. This motif represents the strong links that language and culture share in a space, while also updating what many see as a cliché or old-fashioned design. The dual language logo shows that the museum uses both, but revolves mainly around the Gaelic language as this title is in bold and sits higher up in the logo.

The exhibition was based on women's Gaelic song and poetry. This exhibition logo also had to be bilingual, and relate to the main museum logo. Another Celtic knot motif was created with tongue symbols at either end to relate to the exhibition title.
