Document Understanding with RPA

The goal of this project is to develop a document understanding solution using RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technology. The solution aims to automate the extraction of relevant information from various types of documents, such as invoices, receipts, contracts, or forms.

Document Classification: Implement a document classification module that can accurately categorize incoming documents based on their type. This module should be able to distinguish between different document types and route them to the appropriate processing workflows.

Data Extraction: Develop an extraction component capable of automatically identifying and extracting relevant data fields from the documents. This could include information like vendor names, invoice numbers, dates, line item details, or any other specific data required for further processing.

Validation and Verification: Implement validation and verification mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the extracted data. This could involve cross-referencing data fields against predefined rules, performing data validation checks, or comparing extracted information with external sources.

Exception Handling: Design a system to handle exceptions and errors encountered during the document understanding process. Implement mechanisms to flag and resolve exceptions manually or trigger human intervention when necessary.

Integration: Integrate the document understanding solution with existing RPA workflows or other systems used within the organization. This could involve integrating with an RPA platform like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism, or integrating with other business applications to automate downstream processes.

Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the performance and accuracy of the document understanding solution through fine-tuning algorithms, training machine learning models (if applicable), and implementing feedback loops to learn from user interactions.

Reporting and Analytics: Develop reporting and analytics capabilities to track the performance of the document understanding solution. Generate insights and metrics on document processing speed, accuracy, exceptions, and other relevant key performance indicators (KPIs).
