Friend of mine is fascinated with public domain comic books, and interested in creating new stories through the utilization of their old comic art. He got to know about my work with AI, saw it could be steered towards something with actual quality, and got curious to see if I would be able to recreate a page utilizing Google Flow. I always prompt my pages in black and white, because I don't find any LLM's ability to keep colors consistent reliable, so the prompt was simple: "Give me a 1:1 recreation of this comic page utilizing only stark black and white." Results were more than approved by the "client," so I moved forth with the coloring: simple flats with bend-day dots digitally applied, as was the style for the era. Some will call it lifeless, but it made both me and my friend pretty happy.
