TeachYou | Website Design and Development

For the TeachYou project, I played a comprehensive role in bringing the website to life. I was responsible for designing the site in Figma, ensuring an intuitive layout and visually engaging design. Once the design was finalized, I developed the website in Webflow, focusing on creating a seamless and responsive user experience. Additionally, I contributed to crafting the written content, collaborating with the clients to ensure the messaging was clear, compelling, and aligned with their brand. This project, designed for a Spanish-speaking audience, reflects a cohesive approach to both design and communication.

Who is TeachYou

TeachYou is an initiative by Edison and Valentina, two dedicated educators with extensive experience teaching in schools, public institutions, and universities. Their mission is to transform traditional education by offering personalized classes that adapt to the needs of each student.
By moving beyond the conventional classroom, they create a supportive and empathetic environment, often working from the student’s home. This approach allows them to develop tailored strategies that address academic challenges and foster growth. Specializing in mathematics, English, and literacy, TeachYou aims to redefine education in Colombia, helping learners of all ages achieve their goals and find purpose in their studies.

Strategy and Process

The strategy for TeachYou’s website began with understanding Edison and Valentina’s vision for their brand and their goals as educators. During our initial discussions, we explored their unique teaching approach and the values they wanted the website to convey: professionalism, accessibility, and a personal touch. This insight shaped every decision throughout the project.
The design phase focused on creating a vibrant and approachable aesthetic, using primary colors and playful decorative elements to reflect the dynamic and flexible nature of their services. Each section of the website was carefully structured to guide visitors seamlessly—from learning about the team and their services to easily contacting them.
Collaborating with the clients, I also contributed to writing the website’s content, ensuring the tone and message resonated with their target audience. The development in Webflow prioritized responsive design and functionality, allowing the website to provide a user-friendly experience across all devices. The final result is a website that effectively communicates TeachYou’s mission and makes it simple for visitors to connect with their services.

Results and Impact

The TeachYou website has been a resounding success for Edison and Valentina. They expressed their satisfaction with the final product, highlighting how it perfectly captures their vision and aligns with their mission. Their customers have also praised the website for its vibrant design and intuitive layout, making it an enjoyable and easy-to-use platform. Most importantly, the website has already generated tangible results: new clients have reached out to Edison and Valentina directly through the site, affirming its effectiveness in connecting them with their audience.

Learnings and Reflection

Working on the TeachYou project was a particularly meaningful experience for me, as a teacher myself. It was exciting to collaborate with Edison and Valentina, whose mission of personalized education aligns closely with my own values. This project gave me the opportunity to refine my approach to balancing vibrant, engaging design with functionality, ensuring the website met both the client’s needs and their audience’s expectations. The process also reinforced the importance of clear communication and iterative feedback to deliver a product that truly reflects the client’s vision. Beyond the technical and creative skills I gained, this project deepened my appreciation for the impact thoughtful design can have in supporting education.
