I have had a goal of converting files to any format without having to resort to another person by buying their service help me convert a file.
For example, having to convert an existing video to another file format without resorting to an online application is a challenge especially in a 3rd world country.
One problem affecting file converters tend to be a requirement to connect to an internet such as online video or file converters to convert some files. This becomes problematic especially if the file is big and internet is slow. Since online converters have limitations to file size, internet speeds may differ from one person to another.
How did I come to a solution? Looking for a software that can operate offline and one of them being an unknown video and audio converter to many is VLC.
Upon learning VLC has a feature like this, I have opted to use it as one of my go to programs to convert any audio or video formats.
