Most barbershop websites look exactly the same: dark wood, vintage filters, and generic templates. For the @Base44 #GiveItAGlow challenge, I wanted to completely destroy that baseline.
Introducing the digital flagship for Moscow Barbería (Villa Carlos Paz, Argentina).
📖 THE ORIGIN STORY: WHY MOSCOW? Moscow Barbería is a real-world shop in my local town of Villa Carlos Paz with a stellar reputation (4.5 stars, 150+ reviews). But like many local businesses, their digital presence didn't reach its full potential.
I selected them for this challenge to prove a point: local businesses do not need to settle for boring, standard templates. They deserve high-concept, editorial digital flagships that treat their technical grooming craft like pure industrial design.
Instead of nostalgia, we built a "Clinical Tech Lab." The aesthetic merges 90s street-punk with high-end editorial brutalism.
🌐 1. THE PRODUCT (UI/UX) Built entirely on Base44, the site uses a strict 1px hairline wireframe. Pure off-white (#F4F4F0) and off-black. Zero drop-shadows. Zero rounded corners. I imported custom typography—pairing an editorial serif (Season Mix) with a raw monospace font (Season Sans) to format the UI like a printed spec-sheet. We even coded a custom JavaScript scissors-cursor and a borderless, auto-scrolling architectural carousel.
📸 2. THE VISUAL SYSTEM & AI IMAGERY To completely own the visual narrative, I custom-designed the entire photographic universe from scratch. Using advanced image-to-image fusion from their actual clients and physical location, I generated and curated a cohesive visual system of 15 high-fashion hair-art portraits and sterile architectural interior shots. Every visual asset was engineered to align strictly with 2026 global design trends. To push the interactivity further, I animated select grid portraits into seamless, slow-motion "living cinemagraphs," breaking the illusion of a static website.
⚙️ 3. THE AUTOMATION To optimize booking uptime, I built a smart WhatsApp automation flow. Instead of a generic calendar, the frontend JS enforces real business hours. When submitted, it dynamically compiles the form into a raw, URL-encoded tech-string and routes it directly to the barber's WhatsApp for instant, frictionless booking.
🎥 4. THE STORY (BEFORE & AFTER) Watch the attached video to see how we transformed the standard, generic layout into a brutalist, interactive editorial experience using Base44's AI engine.
