Reading Into the Past / Writing Into the Future Volume 1: Seeds for a New Pattern is a book published by the School for Poetic Computation. It contains writings from participants in the course of the same name, hosted by the school in early spring, 2022. Participants read, discussed and responded to works of science fiction by Black and Indigenous People of Color and responded in their own words. 

Main themes were portals, slime mold and moss.
