Real-Time Product Price Alerts

Designed and developed a microservice app for real-time product price alerts using Scrapy and Python. My main goal was to scrape product prices from various e-commerce websites and provide real-time updates to users based on their target price.

I utilized algorithms and data structures like Dictionaries and Linked Lists to retrieve and store real-time price data to accomplish this. To ensure data consistency and easy management, I used MySql for data storage.

One of the most essential features of my app was the ability to send alert notifications via SMS to the user, based on their target price. To make this possible, I developed a stateless microservice that could continuously monitor the costs and send alerts in real-time.

To ensure maximum scalability and easy deployment, I deployed the entire system on AWS EC2 using Docker. This allowed for easy scaling and deployment, making it possible to handle a large number of users and real-time price data with ease.

Overall, my real-time product price alert app was a powerful solution for anyone looking to stay updated on product prices and make data-driven decisions. With my expertise in web scraping and Python, I can help businesses and individuals stay ahead of the competition and achieve their goals.
