How-Cuba-Spiraled-into-Chaos Thumbnail Design

This intense and gripping thumbnail had to tell the story of why Fidel Castro's Cuba spiraled out of control - allegedly. I used strong emotions and the characters' demeanor to tell this story in the most concise way as possible. With Fidel Castro in the foreground, sad faced, red eyed, tears rolling down his scratched cheeks, I tell a story of struggle and loss for him and his nation. A mysterious character in the background dressed in military gear with a gun pointing toward Castro was intended to arouse curiosity in the viewer. The background with ruined building adds to the somber mood of the whole story.
