The project involved thorough testing and validation of a Next.js portal integrating payroll, training, rewards, and Single Sign-On (SSO) functionalities using modern tools and technologies.
•Testing Frameworks: We employed modern testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library for unit testing React components, ensuring their functionality met the specified requirements.
•End-to-End Testing: Selenium WebDriver was utilized for end-to-end testing, simulating user interactions across the entire portal to validate its functionality and user experience.
•API Testing: We utilised tools like Postman for API testing, verifying the communication between frontend and backend systems for features like payroll management and rewards system.
•Cross-Browser Compatibility Testing: Modern tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs were used for cross-browser compatibility testing, ensuring the portal functioned seamlessly across different web browsers and versions.
•Performance Testing: Load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling were employed to evaluate the portal’s performance under various load conditions, ensuring it could handle expected user traffic without degradation in performance.
•Security Testing: OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite were utilized for security testing, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities such as injection attacks or insecure authentication mechanisms.
•Accessibility Testing: We employed tools like Axe or WAVE to perform accessibility testing, ensuring the portal complied with WCAG guidelines and was accessible to users with disabilities.
By leveraging these modern QA tools and methodologies, we ensured the Next.js portal met high standards of quality, reliability, and performance across all integrated functionalities.
