Quinta: CMS architecture for a retreat center Framer template
Retreat centers sell dates, not just pages. A host runs several retreats a year, each with its own departures, room types and prices, and often keeps deposits and waitlists in spreadsheets and DMs. I built Quinta, a Framer template, so all of that lives in the site itself and a host can update it without touching the design.
This is my own product, sold on the Framer Marketplace, not client work. The retreat center, its retreats and reviews are fictional demo content.
How it's structured
Quinta has 21 pages and 10 linked CMS collections. They are Retreats, Departures, Room types, Spaces, Open weeks, Hosts, Styles, FAQs, Reviews and Journal.
The core is Departures. Each date links to its retreat, so adding one date updates the next-departures strip on the home page, the Dates page, the retreat page and the date's own page. Nothing is entered twice.
Key decisions
A page for every date. Guests choose a date first, so each departure gets its own page with a status: Open, Few places left, Guaranteed, Waitlist or Sold out.
Room prices per date. Shared, Private and Suite prices and places left are set on each date, and a tier set to 0 hides itself.
Deposits without a booking system. The Pay deposit button on each date links to the host's own Stripe, Polar or PayPal checkout.
Waitlists that switch on by themselves. When places left reaches 0, the deposit button turns into a waitlist form that records which date the guest wants.
WhatsApp where guests ask questions. A floating button and an Ask on WhatsApp link on every retreat and date open a chat with a prefilled message. The number is set once in a code component.
Built for the person running it
A Host your retreat page lets the venue rent the house to outside teachers, with season rates and open weeks that come from the CMS. A Start here page walks the buyer through setup in eight steps, and global color and text styles let them rebrand the whole site from the style panel.
Checked on every screen
Every page was checked at 7 screen widths for overlapping and clipped text, equal-height cards, icon alignment and AA color contrast, on desktop, tablet and phone.
The result
A retreat site where the host updates dates, prices and availability in the CMS, and a guest can go from browsing to paying a deposit or joining a waitlist on one page. You can click through the live demo at quinta-retreat.framer.website.
Need a site like this for your retreat, clinic or studio? I can set up Quinta for you or build something custom in Framer.
