Utopos - La storia sono io

As the founder and developer of Utopos, my goal was to create a new form of cultural entertainment that truly brings history to life. Too often, history, art, and culture are presented in ways that are dry and uninspiring. I wanted to change that by creating an app that allows users to step into the lives of the people who made history, making their stories engaging and immersive.

Utopos offers short audio stories, each precisely eight minutes long, written by a talented team of 10 authors. These stories are told in the first person, placing the listener directly in the shoes of historical figures, such as Leonardo da Vinci painting the Mona Lisa or Napoleon preparing for battle. The stories are carefully produced and narrated by two skilled voice actors, with illustrations from 7 different artists, bringing each moment to life in a vivid and engaging way.

Developed in React Native for iOS, the app also uses geo-localization technologies like GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC to connect the stories to real-world locations, enhancing user engagement through gamified mechanisms. This combination of storytelling and technology creates a unique and immersive experience, allowing users to truly live in the mind of the main character as they listen.

As the CEO of Utopos, my role went beyond development. I was also responsible for securing funding and building partnerships to bring this vision to life. It has been a challenging and rewarding journey, working with a talented team of writers, illustrators, and voice actors to create something that we believe will transform how people engage with history and culture.
