La Mensa Antwerp — Reimagining the Premium Brand Experience The Goal
In a crowded hospitality and luxury market, standard presentation simply doesn’t cut it anymore. The objective of this project was to elevate the visual identity of La Mensa Antwerp by replacing generic glassware with a bespoke, custom-designed 3D asset. As a 3D designer, my mission is to help brands break through the digital noise. By creating a unique, branded wineglass and pairing it with high-end motion design, this project demonstrates how physical product design and 3D animation can intersect to build a luxury brand narrative.
The Process: From Concept to Fluid Motion
Storyboarding & Conceptualization
Every impactful motion piece requires a strong narrative foundation. I initiated the project with quick, iterative sketching to map out a tight, engaging storyboard, ensuring the visual pacing would capture and hold a viewer's attention.
Dynamic Liquid Simulation
To make the presentation feel authentic and premium, the fluid dynamics had to be flawless. I pushed Blender’s liquid simulation capabilities to achieve a realistic, high-viscosity pour that mimics the rich texture of a premium red wine.
Bespoke Material Artistry
Ordinary glass is invisible—bespoke glass reflects identity. I engineered custom textures and materials to contrast the deep, organic tones of the wine with the sharp, modern geometry of the custom-etched glassware.
Cinematic Cinematography
Using advanced camera mechanics within the 3D space, I implemented a precise, shallow Depth of Field (DoF). This guides the viewer's eye exactly where it belongs: the intricate interplay between the glass patterns and the fluid.
Post-Processing & Color Grading
The final polish happened in post-production. By leveraging specific render passes and executing a meticulous color grade, I elevated the lighting, contrast, and atmosphere to give the final piece a cinematic, high-end commercial feel.
The Result The final delivery consists of three distinct, highly polished scenes that showcase the La Mensa brand identity alongside the unique aesthetic of the custom-designed glassware.
