ASPHALT INFERNO is a shot on video lo-fi horror short film. Written and directed by Felix Kristensson. Starring Larken Woodward. Cinematography by Antonio Zapiain Luna.

A film inspired by the Dogme95 films by Lars Von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg. Also earlier work by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn including The Pusher trilogy. Gaspar Noe films as well such as Irreversible (2002) and Enter The Void (2009). Inland Empire (2005) by David Lynch is also a huge inspiration to this short film and Eraserhead (1979) with it’s industrial feel and atmosphere.

Inspired by the Japanese horror films of the late 1990s and the early 2000s such Cure (1997), Ringu (1998), Pulse (2001).

The Italian Horror films of Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava and Dario Argento were a huge inspiration to the film’s aesthetic qualities. Particularly the movies The Beyond (1981), Blood and Black Lace (1964) and Suspiria (1977).
