Masterfrio water purifier

Masterfrio – a major gallon water fountains player in Brazil – aimed to release its very first water purifier with a challenging goal: being the smallest water purifier on the Brazilian market that offered both natural and cold water. The purifier should be attractive to both residences and small businesses. Market research showed users felt that filling bottles, as well as glasses, was a very compelling feature to the domestic environment. DESIGN Simple forms that integrate into the most diverse environments and conveys a sense of gravitas. Precise and well-thought structure, combined with innovative valves positioning, ensured the compact design. An easy and objective interface, but with a professional style, says this is an accessible product that still takes its function seriously. Since Masterfrio didn’t work with the technology to raise water up to the reservoir at the time, we had to get creative with the filling bottles solution, so we presented a detachable dripping safety piece. RESULT Masterfrio water purifier won the iF Product Design Award in 2007 in the household category and remained the smallest water purifier in the Brazilian market for several years.
