Engineering department was struggling to deliver things on time consistenly. Working in a heavily regulated industry as finance did not help. The company was already 10 years old and it was time to sit down a rethink how the next 10 years would be.
A project like this is huge and took almost 3 years to materialize but we eventually made it!
It all started with building out the team that would support all other engineering teams withing the organization, training people, building tools specifically tailored to the company's needs, coordinate migration efforts with all teams, etc..
