Duties: Senior software engineer brought on to help their internal Shop Smiles team to build a suite of tools to allow Colgate to rapidly stand up new product lines for their 433 brands worldwide.

Task: To utilize my expertise in development to create a suite of tools that allowed teams to swap between common providers within the organization. For example, a team could switch between Yotpo and PowerReviews as their carrier for product reviews without breaking their code. This was achieved through common abstractions that placed carrier specific code behind a common interface that allowed teams to universally act with each carrier in the same way. Tools utilized on this project included Vue, Nuxt, Tailwind, Shopify, Contentful, Directus, Yotpo, PowerReviews, Gigya, and Google Analytics

Results: Produced a suite of tools utilizing Nuxt Modules to allow teams to choose which packages they wished to install into their projects. Additionally, created common front-end kits utilizing Nuxt Layers to provide teams with tools that allowed them to quickly put together product websites and customize each visual component to their branding needs. These tools the time for delivery on new websites by 75%.
