Project Overview:

This project aims to develop a digital version of the "Choreography Cards for Pole Dancers" by Rawena's Gander. The card deck, currently sold in physical format through Pole Purpose, provides pole dancers with a versatile set of cards to help them build creative dance routines. The digital version will maintain the core

experience by providing an interactive, easily accessible format for mobile and web platforms.

Objectives:

Digital Transformation: Convert the physical deck into a digital format, preserving the utility and aesthetic appeal of the cards.

User Interaction: Allow users to shuffle, draw, and organize cards virtually to create unique pole dancing routines.

Progress Tracking: Implement features such as tracking choreography progress and saving card layouts for later use.

Accessibility: Ensure the app is available on both web and mobile devices for broader reach, catering to pole dancers of all skill levels.

Customizability: Allow users to customize their deck with additional moves or routines based on their preferences or skill set.

Key Features:

Card Display and Interaction: Users can view, shuffle, and draw cards as they would with a physical deck.

Routine Building: Users can create and save choreographies by organizing selected cards in the order they want to perform them.

Move Instructions: Each card will display detailed instructions on the movement, including text descriptions and optional video demonstrations.

Randomization Feature: A shuffle feature will provide random suggestions, challenging users to incorporate new and unexpected moves into their routines.

Progress Saving: Users can save their progress, making it easy to return to a previous session and continue where they left off.

Search & Filters: Users can search for specific moves or filter cards based on difficulty, style, or pole position (e.g., spins, inversions, transitions).

Social Sharing: Integrate sharing options for users to share their choreographies with the community or their instructors.

Technology Stack:

Frontend: React.js (for web), React Native (for mobile)

Backend: Node.js with Express for managing user accounts, routines, and card data

Database: PostgreSQL or Firebase for saving user profiles, routines, and card preferences

Design: Tailwind CSS for styling (for web), custom component library for consistent UI across platforms

Authentication: OAuth for social login (Google, Facebook) or email/password-based login

Cloud Storage: AWS S3 or Firebase for storing media (video tutorials)

Payments: Integration with Stripe or PayPal for app purchase transactions.

User Flow:

Sign-up/Log-in: Users create an account or log in using their credentials.

Choose Deck: Access the full choreography deck or specific categories based on move types.

Shuffle & Select: Users can shuffle the deck or manually select cards to build a routine.

View Details: Click on any card to view detailed instructions and tutorial videos.

Build Routine: Drag and drop cards to arrange them in the desired order.

Save & Share: Save routines for future practice or share them with others via social media.

Monetization:

This app will be a paid app, requiring users to pay a one-time purchase fee to access all core features. The pricing will range from $9.99 to $14.99, depending on regional adjustments and market analysis. Once purchased, users will have full access to the deck, routine-building features, and move instructions.

Optional Add-ons:

While the core features will be included with the one-time purchase, premium add-ons may be offered to enhance the user experience:

Advanced Move Decks: Additional, more complex choreography cards.

Video Tutorials: Detailed video guides from professional pole dancers.

Custom Themes/Designs: Users can customize the app’s appearance with personalized themes.

Timeline:

Phase 1 (2 months): Planning, wireframes, and core feature development (shuffle, card display, and routine creation).

Phase 2 (1 month): Implement search/filter options, progress saving, and user accounts.

Phase 3 (1 month): Finalize design, video integration, testing, and launch.

Challenges:

Maintaining the tactile, creative experience of physical cards in a digital format.

Ensuring the app works seamlessly across both mobile and web platforms.

This digital version will transform the way pole dancers interact with choreography cards, providing them with a dynamic, interactive experience that is accessible anywhere.
