talabat is an online food ordering company and a subsidiary of Delivery Hero (Germany) since 2016. It has become the largest online food ordering platform in the Middle East, operating in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq.
PROBLEM
talabat was perceived as a traditional brand rather than a fresh and modern market leader. To stay competitive and relevant, we needed to update the brand to align with current market trends and emphasise its broader offerings.
SOLVE
In 2020, after conducting extensive focus groups and market research workshops, we established a new tone of voice and completely revamped the brand identity. This included redesigning the app and refreshing all marketing communications and designs to reflect a modern image.
IMPACT
As a result of the rebrand, talabat UAE alone saw a 60% increase in orders and over 2 million app downloads in 2021. The brand is now widely recognised as a leader in food delivery across the Middle East and is no longer seen as “traditional.”
