Cover image for Ironclad Home Repair: Instant Booking
Ironclad Home Repair: Instant Booking for a Solo Handyman ❌ The Problem: Dave is a solo handyman in Columbus, Ohio. He's on ladders and job sites all day, so booking texts went unanswered until after 9pm, and by then leads had already booked competitors. ✔️ The Solution: A front door that turns "can I book with you?" into a confirmed appointment with zero phone tag: • Instant 4-tap bookings: flat-rate common jobs (leaks, drywall, electrical and more) lock straight into the calendar. • Real scheduling rules: collision-proof slots, no double bookings, no Sundays, availability derived from actual bookings. • Self-serve rescheduling and cancelling from the confirmation screen, with no texts needed. • Automated evening-before reminders, so Dave never chases a confirmation. • Owner dashboard: today's jobs, upcoming schedule and quote requests in one view. 🔥 The Impact: Small jobs stop costing Dave evening replies, bigger jobs arrive as clean quote requests he can price when he's free, and rescheduling never touches his phone. Everything works end to end with no sign-in, so anyone can test it in under a minute. Built end-to-end with Lovable for the #lovablechallenge.

Ironclad Home Repair: booking for a one-man handyman business in Columbus, Ohio. 🚀 ONE LINER: Solo handyman loses jobs to competitors because he can't reply until 9pm; customers now book instantly with flat prices, and rescheduling never touches his phone. > Dave runs everything alone. Leads come in through Instagram DMs, texts and a Google Voice number, but he's on a job site all day and can't reply until 9pm, so customers book competitors in the meantime. The site turns a "can I book with you?" into a confirmed booking with zero back-and-forth: Five common jobs (leaky faucet, drywall, furniture assembly, light electrical, door/window repair) book instantly with a flat price in about 4 taps: job, time slot, details, done. Realistic availability: no Sundays, and the calendar shows real open slots. When a time is booked it's gone, and two people can't grab the same slot. Anything else goes to a short quote form, so Dave can price it when he's free instead of texting back and forth at 9pm. Customers get a confirmation with their job code and can reschedule or cancel themselves, no texts needed. > "Owner dashboard" (footer link) shows Dave's side: today's jobs, the week at a glance, jobs to mark done, and quote requests awaiting a reply. > The result: small jobs stop costing Dave evening replies, bigger jobs arrive as clean quote requests, and rescheduling never touches his phone.
