2D animator with graphic design skills

New to Contra

MOSHOOD is building their profile!

Hey everyone! Just joined Contra, and I have to say I'm really glad I did. A friend told me about it, and the idea of a professional platform that actually feels human and social immediately clicked with me. I've spent the last 3 years working as a graphic designer, illustrator, and 2D animator. My work has always revolved around building visuals that have real character pieces that feel intentional, detailed, and alive. I'm excited to finally start putting my work out here. Feel free to follow me, say hello, or share any thoughts you have. I genuinely appreciate feedback and I'm always open to a good conversation. Most of all, I'm here to meet people and find projects worth getting excited about. Hoping to land my first collaboration here soon. Let's make something great! 😊👍 #business #animation

This project begins with developing a concept and script that define the story or message to be communicated. From there, a storyboard is created by sketching out key scenes to plan the visual flow. Characters, backgrounds, and assets are then designed and illustrated using tools like Adobe Illustrator. An animatic was produced next to a rough-timed version of the storyboard to test pacing before full animation begins. The assets are then animated frame by frame or through rigging and motion using tools like Adobe After Effects. Finally, all elements are composited, color-corrected, and exported as the finished video file.

The project was carried out in two main stages: design and animation. In the design stage, characters and visual elements were created in Adobe Illustrator using vector graphics. Each character was drawn in a T-pose and properly structured into separate layers such as the head, arms, legs, and body to make them suitable for animation. In the animation stage, the Illustrator files were imported into Adobe After Effects as compositions. The characters were rigged using the parent and link system to connect body parts and simulate natural movement. Keyframe animation was then applied to control motion such as position, rotation, and timing. A complete scene was developed by arranging backgrounds, adding lighting and shadow effects, and applying a grayscale visual style to enhance storytelling. Finally, the animation was previewed, refined, and rendered into a video format as the final output.
