Say hello to Frama, a free cross-platform desktop application built with Electron that simplifies the complex world of transparent web video. Designed for developers and designers, Frama converts heavy MOV/MP4 files into web-ready WebM (VP9) and HEVC formats with alpha channels.
At its core, the app leverages a custom FFmpeg implementation to handle high-fidelity video processing while maintaining a lightweight footprint. Beyond conversion, it features an automated HTML embed code generator and a built-in browser previewer. I also designed and launched the product’s landing page via Webflow to ensure a premium user experience. Frama has quickly gained popularity within the dev community for its "pay-what-you-want" model and zero-barrier UI.
