Preppy North: From surplus to supply I got to make a business idea real for one of my recent clients. Preppy North saw perfectly good organic produce heading for the trash and turned it into a business. Freeze-dried ingredients for BC food manufacturers, made from rescued fruit. My job was making her website work for her. She is early in her journey, looking for customers and additional funding, and she needed the site up fast. One page, built in a sprint-like fashion. The client supplied the logo and it was a fun one, so it seemed like a perfect fit for experimenting with the finish layers. The site could be as animated as her logo. Finish Layer: Block Animations: a reveal on the strawberries, hover expand on every button I could get away with, and stars that rotate on scroll. I love a good button press. Block Transforms: rotate and offset on the stars and the oversized numerals so they sit off the grid instead of in it. Stacks: stacked the text and the 01/02/03 blocks. Stacks are making my life easier and the sites are looking better. Font Uploads: I have been uploading fonts with custom CSS for years and I am glad it is native now. Staying inside the Squarespace library can sometimes be a challenge in itself. For this project I did not upload custom fonts. I didn't need to! Flip card credit to Beatriz Caraballo's snippet directory. šŸ”— preppynorth.com (http://preppynorth.com)IG Post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DbHGXJfupRD/

Cover image for Sprint Websites built PRAXA Projects
Sprint Websites built PRAXA Projects a custom 6-page Squarespace site with a project portfolio for the company's construction and project management work. After eight years in Edmonton, the brand was evolving into PRAXA Projects, so it needed a professional look that holds up in both finance and construction circles. Sprint Websites refined their napkin-sketch logo into a mark that stands beside their competitors, then built a fast, mobile-ready, SEO-ready site that treats deep local knowledge as the competitive advantage.

Cover image for Sprint Websites designed a full
Sprint Websites designed a full logo and brand identity for The Local Bookshelf, built around the warmth of a well-loved home library rather than a typical bookstore look. That identity carried into a custom Squarespace ecommerce build styled to make browsing feel inviting instead of transactional, with a shop built to showcase her curated, gently used book selection.

Cover image for Sprint Websites built LETY Construction
Sprint Websites built LETY Construction a new 28-page website to replace the one they had run since 2012, delivered on a short timeline with regular check-ins. The responsive, search-ready design gives this small foundation repair and waterproofing shop the polish and credibility of much larger competitors, and it was structured for easy maintenance so LETY can keep it relevant going forward.

Cover image for Sprint Websites designed a wordmark
Sprint Websites designed a wordmark logo and built a six-page Squarespace site for writer and life reconfiguration mentor Valerie Maxemniuk. What started as a home for her stories grew into a full personal brand, with pages for her mentorship, her writing services, and "Stories from the Heart," plus a blog and newsletter signup. The elegant, slightly magical tone mirrors her voice and gives a multi-passionate creative one place to send everyone.
