Not because they don't have people around them — but because they're scared that if they shared how they truly felt, they'd be judged, dismissed, or misunderstood. So they say nothing. They scroll past everyone, smiling on the outside, carrying it all on the inside. Loneliness has quietly become one of the heaviest struggles of our time — and most of us face it in silence.
The solution: For the #ConfigMakeathon, I built We Care — a living, breathing map of human feeling. 🌍
Here's how it works: you share exactly how you feel right now, and your emotion becomes a glowing light pinned to your spot on a real 3D globe. Around you? Hundreds of other lights — each one a real person, somewhere in the world, feeling the very same thing you are. A student in India. A worker in Tokyo. Someone, somewhere, who just gets it.
Because loneliness isn't about a lack of people. It's the quiet belief that no one feels what you feel. We Care answers that — instantly, with proof you can see. 💫
But it goes so much deeper than just looking at feelings:

Every feeling matters. You are not alone.
The Problem
Over a billion people feel alone every day — not because they lack people around them, but because they're afraid that if they shared how they truly felt, they'd be judged. So they stay silent. Loneliness has become one of the most quietly devastating problems of our time, affecting mental health and wellbeing across every country, culture, and age.
The Solution
We Care is a real-time, interactive 3D world where anyone can share exactly how they feel — and instantly see they're not the only one. Your feeling appears as a glowing light pinned to your location on a living globe, surrounded by real people across the planet feeling the very same thing. It's a judgment-free space built for everyone, but especially for introverts and anyone who has ever felt alone and simply wanted to be heard.
But We Care goes further than just showing feelings — it lets you act on them:
🌍 Share your feeling — pin your emotion to your location on the globe
💬 Real connection — send a connection request, and once accepted, open a private conversation to truly support one another
❤️ Like & follow — show warmth and follow someone's journey
🤝 Wall of Hope — a curated, gentle space where people reach out to those who need a friend, sending support with a single tap
🆘 Crisis Safety System — when someone is truly struggling, We Care does NOT post their pain to the public map. Instead, it gently pauses and connects them to real, professional help with verified crisis helplines (988, India iCall, AASRA, and international resources). Protecting people matters more than any feature.
🛡️ Block & Report — instantly block or report anyone who makes you uncomfortable, keeping the space safe for everyone
🎵 Healing music — calming, copyright-free lofi to soothe anxious minds
🌐 Live presence — see who's online around the world in real time
🔒 Your Privacy & Safety
We Care puts you in control. You decide how you appear — share your exact location, or show your feeling within a general ~3 km area for extra privacy. You connect with others only when YOU choose to. And if anyone ever makes you uncomfortable, you can instantly block or report them. Because a safe space means real protection — you always stay in control.
Why We Care is different
Unlike platforms that only let you see feelings, We Care lets you actually connect — reach another human, offer support, and get real help. Because seeing a light is comforting, but having someone reach back can change a life.
How I Built It
I built We Care using Figma's creative tools. I used Figma Make to turn my ideas and prompts into a fully functional, live web app. I used Figma Weave for imagination and visualization — picturing exactly how the Earth and the entire experience should look and feel. And I didn't stop at prompting: when my AI credits ran out, I continued coding the app myself by hand — fixing problems, refining interactions, and pushing every detail until it felt complete. This wasn't just about generating an app. It was about truly building something that matters.
Why It Matters
We Care isn't just a design prototype. It's a fully functional, real platform with a real purpose: to remind people that no matter where they are in the world, they are never truly alone — and to give them a safe, judgment-free place to be heard, to connect, and to find help when they need it most.
This is We Care. A world where every feeling matters, and no one has to feel alone. 🤍
