Words are meant to be felt as much as they are read. In my work as a scriptwriter and performer for Une Maison, I explored the intersection of heritage and modern storytelling. Writing across three acts—The Crown, The Throne, and The Kingdom—I wove together Swahili and English to create a cinematic experience. This project was a celebration of culture and the power of a spoken word to command a room and move a soul.

From the shadows of dark romance to the bright clarity of self-help guides, I have lent my pen to those with stories to tell. Each book is a quiet collaboration, a process of listening deeply and refining a voice until it is ready to meet the world in its most polished form.

Beyond the mechanics of a server lies the heart of a creator. For Axone Universe, I designed a digital sanctuary where stories breathe. By structuring a space for "Writing Sprints" and "Poetry Fridays," I transformed a quiet platform into a vibrant home for thousands of global authors. It was an exercise in nurturing the creative spirit, ensuring every writer felt safe to share their world while finding the structure they needed to flourish.

In 2023, I felt a burn to start Karibu Poetry: a safe space for all creatives to feel seen and heard.
In 2024, I wrestled with the idea. Is this community even necessary? Would this impact or even help anyone?
In 2025, we had our first poetry event in Nairobi, Kenya. It was at an aesthetic gastro bar that served as a cafe during the day. As it was an open mic event, with no prior signups, we were astounded when nearly half of the attendees signed up to perform a piece from their hidden notes app. Many of the performers weren't published authors or poets. They were simply creative beings in search of a place to allow their creativity to shine. Safely. Wholly. Unashamedly.
In 2026, we hosted our first Chai and Chill event, a sip and script event. These pictures below are a testament to a dream come true.
