Good copy doesn't just sell. It understands people. Behind every purchase is a person with specific needs, questions, doubts, and motivations. That's the thinking behind this emerging copywriter's approach. With a focus on customer psychology, she explores how businesses can: 1) Understand what their audience truly cares about. 2) Turn customer needs into clear, persuasive website messaging. 3) Write emails that build interest, trust, and encourage action. Her practice projects span education, skincare, and e-commerce, with a growing focus on website copy and email marketing. Because the best copy doesn't simply tell people what a business offers. It helps them understand why it matters. What makes an email memorable: its subject line or the way it connects with its reader? #Copywriting #EmailMarketing #CustomerPsychology #WebsiteCopy

People don't just read emails. They read them through their own needs, doubts, and goals. That's why I believe good email copy starts with customer psychology, not clever words. While working on a practice email campaign for an English course, I explored three ways to make the message more persuasive: Emotional connection: Recognize the reader's goals and frustrations. Clear value: Show what the reader can gain, not just what you're selling. A natural call to action: Make the next step feel relevant and worthwhile. The difference isn't about making an email longer or louder. It's about making the reader feel that the message speaks to them.I'm developing my skills in email marketing, website copy, and customer psychology, with a focus on understanding what motivates people to take action. This is a self-initiated practice project, not client work. A question for business owners and marketers: What do you think matters more in an email: an attention-grabbing subject line or a message that truly connects with the reader? #EmailMarketing #Copywriting #CustomerPsychology #ConversionCopywriting

Discounts can help catch people’s eyes, but are you providing your customers with a reason to choose your brand? During my copywriting practice, I questioned how I could make my copy focus more on what the customer actually needs. During my Tuffy Organics practice audit, I focused on: Needs - What issues do they have that are causing them to land on your page? Message - Can you relate your product to real life skin care issues? Trust - Are customers being provided with a reason to consider your product? I learnt that creating persuasive copy goes beyond just making your offer look appealing; you need to help the correct customer understand why it would be relevant to them. This was a personal project to improve my skills with copywriting for websites, conversion copywriting, and email marketing. I have also learnt how to get the most out of every word I write. What makes you choose a skincare brand? The offer, messaging, or trust? #Copywriting #WebsiteCopy #CustomerPsychology #ConversionCopywriting

Cover image for Good copy doesn’t just describe
Good copy doesn’t just describe a product. It gives people a reason to care. While practicing copywriting, I started looking beyond the words on a page and asking a different question: What does the customer actually need to hear before they feel ready to take action? That question shaped three of my portfolio projects: Learners Academy: Reworking website messaging to focus on student outcomes and parent trust. Tuffy Organics: Exploring skincare messaging that speaks to customer needs instead of relying too heavily on discounts. Customer Psychology & Conversion Copy: Studying motivations, objections, and trust barriers across different industries. These are self-initiated practice projects, not paid client work. They’ve helped me practice writing with a clearer purpose: connecting what a business offers with what its audience cares about. I’m especially interested in website copy and email marketing for education businesses and digital products. What makes you trust a brand enough to take the next step? I’d love to hear your perspective. #Copywriting #WebsiteCopy #EmailMarketing #ConversionCopywriting
