Fahad Abdullah's Work | ContraWork by Fahad AbdullahFahad Abdullah
Academic Editor & Research Consultant | PhD, Thesis, Journal
I reviewed a public-administration research article and flagged four problems: an overused opening, an undefined key term, an unclear central claim and vague wording. Each comment says what to fix and how, so the author knows what to do next. Later, it was sent for publication to a Q2 journal. I condensed a Yale PhD personal statement of purpose to meet a 1,000-word limit, cutting a long passage and rewriting it more tightly. Each cut is tracked and explained in a comment, so the author stays in control of the final text. On a PhD research memorandum about migration and the governance of water and land, I edited the wording for clarity and consistency with the surrounding narrative. Each edit appears as a tracked insertion or deletion, with a short plain-language note beside it. I revised a humanities research article on the aestheticisation of war so that it matched the paper's new direction after reviewer feedback. Every change stayed visible in tracked changes, with a margin comment explaining what was fixed and why.
