Cover image for Alix — Designing Trust Into
Alix — Designing Trust Into the Home Services Marketplace Finding reliable help for home and lifestyle services has always meant trading convenience for risk — informal arrangements, no verification, no accountability. As Product/UX Designer on the Alix team, I helped design a platform that solves this by making trust the core product feature, not an afterthought. Working alongside developers and product leads, I shaped the end-to-end experience: service booking, worker assignment, real-time job tracking, and secure in-app payments, all built around a managed marketplace model. The real design challenge was making safety mechanisms feel invisible rather than bureaucratic. I designed the PIN-based job verification flow and monitored chat system to remove friction at the moments that matter most — confirming the right person shows up, and keeping communication safe — without making users feel surveilled or slowed down. Every interaction was stress-tested against one question: does this make the user feel more in control, or less? Visually, I led the direction toward a premium system built on deep charcoal and gold accents — a palette chosen deliberately to signal reliability and professionalism across every touchpoint, from the customer-facing app to the worker interface to internal team tools. The goal was consistency: whether you're booking a service, doing the job, or managing operations behind the scenes, Alix should feel like the same trustworthy brand. The result is a platform where transparency and simplicity replace the usual anxiety of finding help — proof that thoughtful UX can turn a high-friction, low-trust category into something effortless.

Cover image for HarvestIQ is an AI-powered agritech
HarvestIQ is an AI-powered agritech platform designed to close the biggest gaps in the farming value chain: waste, unfair pricing, financial exclusion, and lack of access to modern knowledge. Built on Google Gemini and OPay infrastructure, it gives smallholder farmers a crop scanner to assess quality in seconds, a direct-to-buyer marketplace that removes exploitative middlemen, a multilingual learning hub for practical farming education, and a digital wallet for instant payments and microloans, all in one app optimized to run on low-end smartphones. By putting AI and financial tools directly in farmers' hands, HarvestIQ helps them earn more, waste less, and grow sustainably.
