Kadwa Cafe: Bringing a Brand to Life A look at how Kadwa Cafe’s visual identity was translated from digital design into real-world customer experiences. As co-founder and creative lead, I developed and applied the brand’s visual language across physical and digital touchpoints. This project explores how a cohesive brand identity can move beyond a logo and become part of the everyday experience of a hospitality business.

Hand-Painted Illustrations for Kadwa Cafe A collection of hand-painted watercolor illustrations created for Kadwa Cafe's menu. Through loose, expressive brushwork and a warm visual language, these illustrations bring Kadwa Cafe’s brand story to life. The work includes illustrated drinks and food applied to their menu and social media promo materials. These were also printed as stickers in their recent pop-up booths. Interested in working together? I’m available for commissions in food and beverage illustration, hospitality branding, and visual storytelling. Email: elyzabeth.dimaya@gmail.com

Kadwa Cafe: Brand Identity & Visual Direction Kadwa Cafe is a coffee brand built around the idea of coffee as companionship. Inspired by the Ilocano word "kadwa", meaning companion or friend, the brand was created to make everyday coffee moments feel warm, familiar, and shared. As co-founder and creative lead, I helped shape Kadwa Cafe’s visual identity and creative direction from the ground up. I developed the brand’s visual language across its logo, typography, illustrations, menus, social media materials, packaging, and physical pop-up experience. The visual direction combines warm, handcrafted details with a simple and approachable aesthetic, reflecting the brand’s belief that coffee can be both an everyday ritual and a reason to connect.
