Video editing is sometimes barely about editing. Especially with sports content. Before the timeline comes the research: players, jersey numbers, teams, seasons, games and footage verification. Because a beautiful edit with the wrong footage is still wrong. #VideoEditing #NFL #SportsEditing #VideoEditor #PostProduction #EditingWorkflow #FreelanceEditor

A small win, but one worth documenting. One of the NFL short-form videos I edited for a client received an additional 252 views through a platform boost, and the client gave me a shoutout right after. What I value more than the number is the feedback:“Pushing out quality bangers.” That’s the standard I’m trying to maintain with every project Again not a very big win but for me its worth keeping track of xD

Here’s how I approach an edit. Not just adding effects — deciding what the viewer should see, when they should see it, and how every visual supports the story. #VideoEditing #VideoEditor #EditingProcess #BehindTheScenes #PremierePro #AfterEffects #MotionGraphics #ContentEditing #PostProduction #CreativeProcess

Cover image for Cinematic Intro: Narrative Sound Design
Cinematic Intro: Narrative Sound Design & Storytelling A short-film style intro blending "Squid Game" themes with a creative art challenge to maximze viewer retention. Key Editing Highlights: Immersive Soundscapes: I built a complex audio environment using layers of echo, industrial sound effects, and suspenseful music to establish an eerie, "trapped" atmosphere from the very first second [00:01]. Visual Suspense & Pacing: I utilized slow-build editing techniques, using silence and sudden audio cues to create a sense of mystery before the main "hook" of the video. The Result: A high-retention "Hook" transitioning from a cinematic narrative into an engaging art challenge, keeping viewers curious about the technical outcome. Software: Adobe Premiere Pro (Narrative Edit & Sound Layering), Adobe After Effects (Atmospheric Overlays).

High-Energy Tech Unboxing & Review Edit The Objective: To create an engaging, fast-paced introduction for a tech review that maintains high energy and keeps the viewer's attention during technical specs. Editing Highlights in this Portfolio Piece: Fast-Paced "Hook": I utilized quick cuts and rhythmic pacing to match the high-energy personality of the creator, ensuring a 0% drop-off rate in the intro. Dynamic Overlays & B-Roll: I seamlessly integrated close-up product shots (B-roll) with the main footage to highlight specific features of the drawing tablet, making the review visually informative. Sound Design for Engagement: I used "Whoosh" transitions, pop-up sound effects, and energetic background music to emphasize key moments and maintain a constant "pulse" throughout the video.

To blend reality with supernatural elements using advanced post-production techniques to drive the narrative forward Key Technical Work: VFX & Compositing: I utilized Adobe After Effects to create the "broken hand" sequence. Using the Puppet Tool and custom masking, I animated the distortion to look visceral and realistic. Seamless Integration: I tracked the movement of the hand to ensure the VFX felt attached to the physical world, maintaining the viewer's immersion. The "Mood" Shift: I used Premiere Pro to manage the pacing, shifting the video from an artistic vlog to a psychological thriller through precise cuts and color grading. Sound-Driven Horror: I layered bone-crunching Foley and eerie transitions to amplify the visual "agony" of the scene. Software Used: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects (Puppet Tool, Masking, Tracking

The 2-Minute Hook | High-Intensity Narrative Editing Editing Highlights in this Segment: The Hook [0:00 - 0:20]: I used a "Flash-Forward" technique with glitch effects and aggressive sound design to create a cinematic "Nightmare" sequence that immediately grabs the viewer’s curiosity. Dynamic Pacing: I balanced fast-paced cuts during high-tension moments with slow, atmospheric pauses to establish the mood and artistic scale of the project. Audio Layering: I implemented immersive Foley and atmospheric SFX to build a "Stranger Things" inspired soundscape, proving that audio is 50% of the viewing experience. Seamless Transitions: I blended handheld "vlog-style" footage with stylized cinematic overlays to maintain a premium, high-budget feel.
