For the mockups, I wanted to see if the cover held onto the feeling I was aiming for: beautiful enough to draw you in, unsettling enough to make you look twice. Here’s the finished Picture of Dorian Gray hardcover from a few angles. What detail draws your eye first?

I shared the finished Picture of Dorian Gray cover earlier. This reel shows how I built it, one layer at a time, on the hardcover. Seeing the wallpaper, frame, figure, and textures appear separately makes me notice what each one adds to the story. Which detail does the most work for you?

Reimagined cover for The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. The whole book turns on one idea: Dorian stays young and beautiful while his portrait quietly rots in his place, absorbing every sin. The painting becomes a mirror of who he really is while his outward appearance remains untouched. So I flipped the usual setup. The decaying figure lives inside the gilded frame, while Dorian himself becomes the shadow in the corner—faceless, reduced to two pale eyes watching what he’s become. That’s the part of the story I wanted on the shelf. Everything else builds around that idea: sickly green damask wallpaper for a Victorian drawing room gone to rot, a hand-drawn gold frame to represent beauty and vanity, and a restrained color palette where the only real color comes from the red of his tie and the blood. I then layered in distressed textures to make the cover feel less like a design and more like an object that’s been hanging in that house for far too long. The Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favorite books of all time, so this was an especially fun project to bring to life.

AZ Innovations came to me looking for a clean, elevated brand identity that felt different from the typical tech aesthetic. The brief called for a monogram/wordmark that would look strong across everything from invoices to digital platforms. The interlocking “A” and “Z” represent the company’s mission to bridge vision and execution from start to finish. Violet communicates creativity and trust, while chartreuse adds energy and forward momentum. The result: a bold, adaptable identity built around innovation, precision, and high-end service. ⚡️

My name is Kayla and I'm going to walk you through my process on how I used Envato as a main toolkit to create a fake closed caption only movie theater from start to finish. You'll find I used the following from Envato: Stock photos Generated images Web/UI templates. All I started with was two things, an idea and a name. Envato helped me practically create a brand ecosystem complete with photography in less than a day and a half. The rest of the time was spent migrating everything to Figma for the sake of organizing everything in one place and made visible for this video. Yo brainstormers!! Envato is where the party's at!! Do your brain dump in the prompt, scavenger through the photos,videos, graphics, and all other tools to and give form to your passions. Play with it and make it tangible because once you have a solid base to go from, it's only up from there. You will NOT be sorry. It's really so crazy how much Envato provided. It solidified direction for product and environmental branding, marketing mockups and pushed me to think outside the box on how I could humanize all the content by making the impact of the content land immersive. I used a consumer lens to focus on what angles, grading, and designs would reel me in as a consumer and not designer. Never have I had this much fun using a design platform for the first time.
