What if your website could make people feel like they’re already missing out? A few months ago, I worked on a landing page for Wavy Travels, and the brief was simple: “Make people want to book their next adventure with us.” So I leaned into one of the oldest tricks in the book: FOMO. Instead of using images just to make the page look good, I used photos from previous trips to show visitors what they could have experienced and what they could be missing if they sit out the next one. Because for a travel brand, the right image doesn't just show a destination. It sells the experience. Every visual on a conversion-focused website should have a job. And when the goal is bookings, sometimes showing people what they’re missing is more powerful than telling them what they’ll get.

What if you could skip straight to the WhatsApp Status you actually want to see? I noticed a small interaction on WhatsApp that can become frustrating when someone posts a lot of Status updates. If a person posts 10 updates and I only want to see the 7th one, I currently have to go through the previous updates to get there. So I explored a simple UX idea: Let users choose the specific Status they want to view. Instead of forcing users to move through every update in order, they could see a preview of the available Statuses and tap the one they want. The goal isn't to add more features just for the sake of it. It's about giving users more control and fewer unnecessary steps. The idea focuses on 3 things: 1. Faster navigation Get to the update you care about without going through everything before it. 2. More user control Users decide what they want to view instead of being forced into a fixed sequence. 3. Less friction Small interactions add up. Removing unnecessary steps can make a familiar product feel much easier to use. This is just a UX concept, not an official WhatsApp feature. I enjoy looking at everyday products, spotting small points of friction, and exploring how they could work better. What do you think? would you use this if WhatsApp introduced it?
