The Long Run is a film pitch trailer built entirely with generative AI, created to help a client sell a feature film to potential backers and collaborators. The core challenge was consistency: the story's hero truck needed to look and read identically across dozens of AI-generated shots, a problem that breaks most AI video pipelines. Rather than jumping straight into generation, I treated the trailer like a short film: adapting the trailer script from the feature screenplay, designing consistent characters, and building out full storyboards before touching video generation tools like Higgsfield. That upfront process locked the visual language early, kept the truck consistent shot to shot, and meant far fewer wasted generations. The client was thrilled with the final trailer; proof that a filmmaker's process, not just the AI tool, is what makes AI-generated work actually hold together.

The idea came from a common everyday problem: when we need an electrician, plumber, carpenter, cleaner, or technician, finding a reliable person nearby is often difficult. People usually depend on word-of-mouth recommendations, which can be time-consuming and uncertain. At the same time, many skilled workers struggle to find new customers and grow their services. WorkNear creates a bridge between customers and local professionals by providing a trusted digital marketplace where users can discover, compare, and book services with confidence. With WorkNear, customers can search for nearby service providers, check their profiles, compare ratings, experience, pricing, and availability before making a decision. Users can either directly book a professional or post their requirements and receive multiple offers from available workers. For service professionals, WorkNear provides a platform to build their digital presence, create verified profiles, display their skills and previous work, manage customer requests, communicate with clients, and receive secure payments. This helps local workers get more opportunities and grow their businesses. To make the platform more intelligent and user-friendly, I integrated AI-powered features: ā€¢ AI Service Recommendation: Understands the user's problem description and suggests the most suitable service category and professional. ā€¢ AI Repair Cost Estimation: Users can upload images of damaged items, and AI helps estimate possible repair costs before booking. ā€¢ Smart Worker Matching: Uses location, skills, ratings, experience, and availability to recommend the best professional for each requirement. ā€¢ Real-Time Communication & Booking Management: Allows customers and workers to chat, confirm details, track bookings, and manage services smoothly. The prototype focuses on a clean, modern, and simple user experience where trust and convenience are the main priorities. The design system was created to make the application accessible for everyone, including users who may not be highly familiar with technology. The vision behind WorkNear is to transform the way people access local services by making professional help available as easily as booking a ride. At the same time, it empowers skilled workers by giving them a digital platform to showcase their abilities, connect with more customers, and build sustainable careers.
