ABOUT THE PROJECT Sémaya is a natural skincare brand centered around a signature ingredient: sesame from Mali. The brand offers minimalist, transparent, and versatile products designed for a simple, authentic, and skin-respectful approach to beauty. THE GOAL & AMBITION The objective was to craft a visual universe that draws nourishment from Malian heritage and traditional artisanal know-how, while projecting an elegant and soothing vision of skincare. The challenge was to beautifully balance deep cultural roots with a clean, modern aesthetic suitable for the premium cosmetics industry. THE SOLUTION & EXECUTION Through a complete rebranding, we translated Sémaya’s core values of transparency and simplicity into a refined visual identity. The design approach highlights the authenticity of the ingredients and the brand's heritage, creating a calm and elevated presence. This cohesive aesthetic was then extended to a comprehensive social media strategy, ensuring the brand's elegant voice resonates seamlessly across all digital touchpoints. Sama Waliss — Contemporary African Heritage Brand Identity ABOUT THE PROJECT Sama Waliss is a premium leather goods brand driven by a strong vision: to create elegant, functional pieces rooted in a deep cultural identity. The brand is dedicated to highlighting traditional West African craftsmanship, with a specific focus on the intricate Senegalese rabal weaving. THE GOAL & AMBITION The core ambition of this project was to radiate contemporary African elegance on a global scale. Sama Waliss aims to be both accessible and international, targeting modern travelers in airports and major global cities. The challenge was to design a brand identity that bridges ancestral heritage with a high-end, travel-ready aesthetic. THE SOLUTION & EXECUTION We developed a bold and rooted visual identity system. By reimagining traditional weaving patterns into a sleek, geometric logotype and brand mark, we gave Sama Waliss a distinctive voice. The rich color palette (deep burgundy, gold, and earthy greens) elevates the brand's premium positioning. The project encompassed a holistic rollout, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, from physical packaging to digital presence. THE GOAL & AMBITION The challenge was to design a brand identity that strikes a very specific and essential balance: it needed to feel institutional without being rigid, serious without being distant, and highly structured while remaining accessible to its audience. THE SOLUTION & EXECUTION We crafted a visual identity that embodies academic excellence and approachability. The design system leverages clean typography and a strong, recognizable logo that anchors the institute's authority. The use of a deep, professional color palette (notably the striking green) reinforces trust and reliability, ensuring the brand commands respect while remaining welcoming for educators. As the association grew, it needed a brand presence that accurately matched the high ambitions and quality of its cultural initiatives.
